Leo - Welcome Home

Leo - 2 days old
Our first day at home was a little scary. We spent a large amount of time gazing at him and changing nappies. Breastfeeding took a little while to get established and we had to syringe feed him one night. Luckily things started to settle down after a few days.
Nana Joan (Mary's mum) provided invaluable support for us during that first week - all we had to do was look after Leo.

Duck Fish

Leo has a morning routine at school, where he takes off his coat and shoes, puts his snack in a box and answers the 'question of the day'. Today, his question was, Which animal starts with the letter 'F'? a) Duck; or b) Fish. Leo answered the question quickly and then said "If 'Duck' started with an 'F', it would sound like F***!" He was a little bemused by the snorts of laughter from Kelly. Luckily even his teacher, Mrs Corcoran, found it funny.

Flying with Aunt Cathy

Leo was very taken by Aunt Cathy when she came to visit today and I think it's safe to say that she was besotted with his cherub-cheeks. They had a wonderful time playing together bouncing on the trampoline, playing in the sand and learning to fly, but in the end a tired boy just needs his mama...
