Walk This Way!

Although Leo has been walking hesitantly for about a month now, he's really improved in the last day or two. This is the first time we've caught him on camera. Enjoy!

Happy Birthday Mares

Image
Mary had a wonderful start to her birthday - a great big hug and a wet sloppy kiss from Leo! It was a gorgeous morning so we all went for a walk in the woods before having a quick rest in her new swing seat (a birthday present from me). After lunch we celebrated Sophie Smith's first birthday, followed by a lovely romantic dinner at Sazio in Hapenden (probably our first since last year!)

R.I.P. Pippin

Image
It was a sad day today as Pippin finally had to be put down. He was my first car and has done me proud for the last 16 years! In need of some welding work, he failed his MOT, and the cost of repairs were more than he was worth - at least to everyone else. We've had some great times in that car and his memory will live on. Rest in peace Pippin. x

How not to boil an egg!

Image
Mary took the grandparents to a dance competition today, leaving Leo and myself up to our own devices. We had a lovely day walking in the woods, playing on the swings, etc. Unfortunately dinner times are not my strong point and looking after a hungry baby whilst trying to get his dinner ready proved too much. Having forgotten his boiled egg, I tried to heat it up in the microwave. The explosion was quite spectactular and Leo thought it was hilarious!

The Naughty Sofa

Image
Whilst Mummy and Daddy have been throwing themselves down mountains, I've been having loads of fun with my mates and our nannies. The nannies are lovely and really cuddly, but we've been running rings around them so they decided to put us all on the "naughty sofa" at the same time!

Encore Une Fois!

Mary loved her sledging experience so much that she decided to try again - this time on the blood wagon! She took a nasty fall on some slushy snow and smashed her knee on the bindings of her ski. She refused to look at the injury until we reached the restaurant for lunch half an hour later as she was afraid of fainting! It turned out that she'd lacerated her knee and our waitress called the emergency services to carry her down the mountain. Four stitches later and she resembled the Bride of Frankenstein (or at least her knee did)! Luckily it was our last afternoon so all we missed out on was a boozy fondue. Can't wait until next year!
