Fathers Day 2008

For my second Fathers Day, Leo gave me a wonderful day. He was so excited about it that we started at 6am! He'd made me a plate and four coasters, which he'd painted himself as well as a card featuring his artwork. We played together all morning and that afternoon we cycled to the park for a picnic with the NCT group. Just to make sure that mummy wasn't feeling left out, Leo had a little present for her too...

Duck Fish

Leo has a morning routine at school, where he takes off his coat and shoes, puts his snack in a box and answers the 'question of the day'. Today, his question was, Which animal starts with the letter 'F'? a) Duck; or b) Fish. Leo answered the question quickly and then said "If 'Duck' started with an 'F', it would sound like F***!" He was a little bemused by the snorts of laughter from Kelly. Luckily even his teacher, Mrs Corcoran, found it funny.

Flying with Aunt Cathy

Leo was very taken by Aunt Cathy when she came to visit today and I think it's safe to say that she was besotted with his cherub-cheeks. They had a wonderful time playing together bouncing on the trampoline, playing in the sand and learning to fly, but in the end a tired boy just needs his mama...
