The Big Slide

Leo loves Fairlands Valley Park. It's got some great climbing frames and slides including this one from when I was a wee lad - "The Big Slide." It's huge, measuring at least 15 metres long. To one with such little legs, it's a veritable mountain. Leo was up and down the thing about 20 times and as he climbed, his mantra was "Climbing like Uncle Tom!" After a while, he could take it no more and plonked himself down on a nearby bench for a coffee break... The poor little thing was so shattered that he fell asleep into his lunch of alphabetti spaghetti!

Leo has a morning routine at school, where he takes off his coat and shoes, puts his snack in a box and answers the 'question of the day'. Today, his question was, Which animal starts with the letter 'F'? a) Duck; or b) Fish. Leo answered the question quickly and then said "If 'Duck' started with an 'F', it would sound like F***!" He was a little bemused by the snorts of laughter from Kelly. Luckily even his teacher, Mrs Corcoran, found it funny.

Flying with Aunt Cathy

Leo was very taken by Aunt Cathy when she came to visit today and I think it's safe to say that she was besotted with his cherub-cheeks. They had a wonderful time playing together bouncing on the trampoline, playing in the sand and learning to fly, but in the end a tired boy just needs his mama...
