Young Entrepreneur of the Year 2009

In times of recession entrepreneurship thrives. So as daddy's pay rise disappears down the drain, Leo thought he'd help pay the mortgage. A wise man once said, “Find something you love to do and you’ll never have to work a day in your life.” Well, Leo has certainly taken these words to heart as he set up his car washing business (the boy loves cars, hosepipes and water). He doesn't do a bad job for a two-year old and at £2 a car it's good value for money. Unfortunately for our mortgage, he insists on being paid with chocolate coins!

Leo has a morning routine at school, where he takes off his coat and shoes, puts his snack in a box and answers the 'question of the day'. Today, his question was, Which animal starts with the letter 'F'? a) Duck; or b) Fish. Leo answered the question quickly and then said "If 'Duck' started with an 'F', it would sound like F***!" He was a little bemused by the snorts of laughter from Kelly. Luckily even his teacher, Mrs Corcoran, found it funny.

Leo was very taken by Aunt Cathy when she came to visit today and I think it's safe to say that she was besotted with his cherub-cheeks. They had a wonderful time playing together bouncing on the trampoline, playing in the sand and learning to fly, but in the end a tired boy just needs his mama...
